Methodology
How we verify.
Evidence first.
Every EnterTurkey review follows the same method: consult the relevant sources, record what each one shows, grade every finding against its evidence and approve the report before it is delivered. This page explains that method and its limits.
See a sample reportOne question, answered from evidence
Each review starts from the question a buyer actually has: is this supplier who they say they are, and is it safe to pay the account they have given me? Depending on the package, we add whether the address is a working site and whether the facility can produce what was promised.
We answer from records and observations, not from impressions. Where something cannot be confirmed, the report says so and explains what would close the gap.
The sources we consult
The sources depend on the package you choose. Every source used in a review is named in the report, with the date it was consulted.
| Source | What it tells us | Package |
|---|---|---|
| Trade Registry Gazette (Ticaret Sicil Gazetesi) | Incorporation, capital changes, changes of partners and managers, address changes and liquidation notices, in date order. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| MERSİS, the central registry system | The registered legal name, MERSİS number, registered address and current status of the company. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| Tax registration (tax number and vergi levhası) | Whether the tax number belongs to the legal name on the quotation and whether the tax registration is active. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| Signature circular (imza sirküleri) and authority records | Who may sign for the company, alone or jointly, and whether the person you deal with is among them. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| Documents you share | Whether the name, address, tax number and payment details on the quotation and proforma match the registry. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| Payment account holder | Whether the account you are asked to pay is held by the registered company, by a private individual, or could not be confirmed. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| Digital footprint | The age of the email domain, whether the website works and whether its contact details match the registry. | Lite · Pro · Enterprise |
| Chamber and other official records | Chamber of commerce or industry records, tax office records and publicly announced legal-status notices, such as liquidation or konkordato, where published. | Pro · Enterprise |
| Exterior address observation | Dated photographs and notes of the building, signage and visible activity, recorded from outside the premises. | Pro · Enterprise |
| Supplier-participating facility visit | Production route, machinery, staffing and capacity observations, made during an agreed appointment with facility access. | Enterprise |
Official sources are consulted on Turkish working days. If a record is unavailable or incomplete, that limitation is recorded rather than filled in with an assumption.
How a review runs
Your workspace shows each stage as it happens. The stages for Pro and Enterprise include the field steps; Lite is a desk review.
- Scope review: we confirm the supplier, the product and the questions in your brief.
- Information requested: if a document would make a check possible, we ask you for it in your workspace.
- Official-source review: registry, gazette, tax and authority records are consulted and recorded.
- Exterior address check (Pro and Enterprise): the address is observed from outside and the observation is dated.
- Appointment and facility review (Enterprise): the supplier is informed, an appointment is confirmed and the agreed visit takes place.
- Report draft: findings are written with their evidence, limitations and next actions.
- Quality review and approval: the draft is reviewed and approved before anything reaches you.
- Delivery: the approved report appears in your private workspace as a fixed version.
How findings are graded
Each finding in a report falls into one of four kinds. The wording is deliberate, so you can see at a glance what rests on a record and what does not.
Confirmed against an official record or a document we could check, and referenced to that evidence.
We looked, but the information could not be confirmed, or a record contradicts what you were told. The report says which.
Seen and dated by our team: from outside the premises for Pro, inside the facility during an agreed Enterprise visit.
Something only the supplier can answer, or that needs a document you do not yet have. It becomes a point to clarify before you pay.
On top of the individual findings, each desk check is marked Clear, Caution or Red flag, and each finding carries a priority: High, Medium, Low or Information. The report closes with a supplier trust score from 1 to 10, the reasoning behind it, and a decision: proceed, proceed with caution or not recommended.
Every finding points to its evidence
Each piece of evidence receives a reference, E01, E02 and so on, with its type, source and the date it was recorded. Each finding lists the evidence it rests on, the limitation that applies to it and the action we recommend.
| Reference | Evidence | Type |
|---|---|---|
E01 | Trade registry record | Official record |
E02 | Quotation and proforma invoice | Supplier document |
E03 | Signature circular | Official record |
E04 | Bank account check | Document check |
E05 | Exterior address visit | Field observation |
In the public sample report, finding F01 reads “Payment requested into another company’s account” and rests on E02 and E04: the proforma invoice and the bank account check. The limitation is stated too: the relationship between the two companies is not known.
Quality review and approval
Drafts and working evidence stay with the team until the report is approved. Every completed report passes a recorded quality review and is then approved by the general manager.
Final reports carry Recep Çevik’s name, title and recorded approval. Once delivered, the assessment is preserved as a fixed version, so the report you rely on cannot change afterwards.
What we never do
- We do not pose as a buyer, an official or anyone else to obtain information. Lite and Pro do not involve contacting or questioning the supplier.
- We do not access non-public databases, bank-secrecy information, or court and enforcement files that are not open to us by law.
- We do not disclose your identity, or who requested the review, to the supplier for Lite and Pro.
- We do not enter premises without agreement. Pro observes the address from outside; Enterprise visits take place only with supplier notice, a confirmed appointment and agreed access.
- We do not publish supplier profiles. Findings are delivered to your private workspace.
The limits of a verification
- A report records what could be verified at the time of the review and within the scope of the selected package. Records can change after delivery.
- A registered company, a matching address or a visible machine does not, by itself, establish financial strength, commercial reliability or available production capacity.
- Statements made by the supplier are recorded as statements. Information that was unavailable is listed rather than assumed.
- Enterprise capacity conclusions are limited to the agreed evidence and scope of the visit.
- A report reduces risk but does not guarantee a supplier’s future performance. Use it alongside your own contracting, payment, technical and quality controls.
Choose the depth you need.
Lite verifies the company, the representative and the payment account in 24 hours. Pro adds official-source research and an exterior address check in 48 hours. Enterprise adds an agreed facility visit and capacity review.
